Police just arrested Florida’s ‘dumbest criminals’ who went on a stealing spree in Ocala.
23-year-old Marcus Reeves and 41-year-old Robert Hobby have been arrested after one of them forgot a shoe while another left a wallet with an ID at one of the shops they robbed.
Reeves and Hobby are now facing a total of 14 charges, including burglaries and grand theft, after they robbed stores in and around Ocala, Florida.
Marion County Sheriff’s Office said that the two stole lottery tickets and cigarettes from different shops.
“But while doing this, they were smoking cigarettes inside the stores while the cameras were watching,” the sheriff’s office stated.
“But that still isn’t the best part, because we didn’t need the cameras to identify them.
“You see when they left the stores, they left their shoe, their tools and Marcus left his wallet with his Driver’s License,” law enforcement officials said.
The sheriff’s office also said that police simply went to Reeves home, knocked on the door and took him into custody after he reportedly confessed.
“Both were arrested and are now in the Gold Star Hotel.”
One person commented: “They look like they would have trouble doing up their shoelaces.”
Another wrote: “Probably sheer stupidity is why they turned to crime in the first place.”
A third added: “Low life criminals are rarely smart.”
