Last Sunday, a couple was sitting on their folding chairs on the beach located in Oxnard, California.

The 93-year old couple got a rather aggressive awakening of the draconian policies laid out by the state.

A policeman asked the couple to get off their chairs and sit on the ground if they want to stay on the beach. The couple, however, was maintaining more than the adequate social distance from other people.

The policeman explained that the folding chair implied that the couple was establishing a permanent place to rest instead of a temporary act of sitting on the sand. This news comes after the report of 40,000 people crowding the Newport Beach in California.

The number was double what the city saw two days prior as people continued to violate the guidelines implemented by the officials.

In an interview, Brian O’Rourke, the Lifeguard Battalion Chief said that the state is seeing a huge crowd on the beach, which normally happens during the summer times.

Governor of the state, Gavin Newsom, in his statement said that people would naturally want to go to parks, beaches, and playgrounds. If these places are open, then they should adhere to the social distancing norms.

However, after the crowd was seen in Southern California beaches, the governor slammed the people by saying that coronavirus works on the weekend too and it is careless to be out of the house like this.

Scott Whitney, the police chief, said that they do not want to write anyone tickets on a technical violation. People can walk in the park, but they should not be seen in a big group. And if people do not cooperate, then they would be subjected to arrest.

The beaches were closed from March 27, 2020, until April 19th, 2020.
