PD Odin, a police dog came to the rescue, when a husband threw away a wedding ring in anger after he went through a heated argument with his wife.
The police dog is 6 years old and was called along with PC Woodall. The incident took place on a road in Harbourne, Birmingham on Saturday at 2 am.
Once the officer found the scene in front of him to be not that settling, he pulled over and learned what those two men were doing.
Later on, he found out that they were in search of a lost wedding ring, which was chucked away around this area.
Without wasting any more time, the officer allowed his 6-year-old German Shepherd to help the men during the time of their need.
Within 2 minutes, PD Odin, the police dog, found the lost ring just by sniffing and the husband felt nothing but relief.
During an interview, PC Woodall said that the man pulled out the ring and threw it away due to a momentary loss of temper. He also added that the man immediately regretted what he did and became pretty desperate to look for the lost ring.
PC Woodall also said that their dogs are well-trained when it comes to sniffing out the human scent. The men told PC Woodall that because the ring was small for which it took them a good deal of their time to look for it.
The police officer did not feel that confident if the ring will be found or not as there was not enough human scent for PD Odin to sniff it out.
However, his fellow partner proved him wrong and found the ring that shocked PC Woodall. It is a good thing to be nice and be helpful and within five minutes he and PD Odin were back to their routine, which was patrolling.
