The police are looking for the girl who reportedly kicked a swan that was attacking another bird in the water in a canal in Limehouse, London.
The incident occurred at the edge of the water canal in Limehouse where two swans had allegedly been fighting as a group of people gathered around them.
In the footage recorded on Friday, one young woman is seen kicking towards the bird before the swans swim away.
Soon enough, however, the group of youths gathered around the edge of the canal was confronted by an older man who approached them and started scolding them.
After short arguing, a fella wearing a blue T-shirt appeared out of nowhere and pushed the older man into the water before fleeing the scene.
Following the incident, reports suggested that the two swans had been mating when the girl kicked them. Later on, however, it has been revealed that witnesses suggested that the birds were fighting and that the young woman tried to stop them from killing each other.
“I watched the entire episode and the swans were not mating, they were fighting to the death. One was father of nine cygnets nearby and one was from a pair who were being territorial,” one witness said in an interview with MailOnline.
“They had been sparring for some time before crowds gathered and had sparred several times in previous days without a fight actually breaking out. The girl was trying to separate the swans to avoid one of them being killed.”
The claim was confirmed by another witness who insisted that the onlookers merely tried to break up the fight “by making noise” and “throwing things.”
As one witness told MailOnline, the man who approached the group told the youths to stop disturbing nature and leave the birds alone. He was then pushed into the water by the guy that the police are also looking for.
