Have you ever imagined working on a holiday when you family is gathered to together to have the festive fun and you cannot be a part of it because you have to work and that being your duty you never really get to spend the special time with your family, rather in your workplace, right?
This is the same that police officers have to do.
No matter what the festival is, they are always working on any holiday at all just to make sure their town is safe and for the same they deserve all the respect and kindness in the world but it looks like some people just do not get the meaning of respect for someone who is sacrificing something so great for out protection.
A policeman in Oklahoma was working on Thanksgiving Day. Just to make sure he can show his respect and make a gesture of thanks to the dispatcher he went to Starbucks to get a coffee.
The employee at the coffee shop gave him a cup with ‘Pig’ written on it.
Speaking on the same incident Chief of Police in Kiefer Oklahoma Johnny O’Mara says that the incident came out as hurt to him.
He says that the policemen leave behind their family on holidays just to make sure their little town is safe and this is the way they get rewarded for it.
He says that one does not have to do something extraordinary if they cannot, but showing signs of disrespect to a policeman is the last thing a person should do.
He even pointed out the terrible employee at the Starbucks who did this and left the policeman disappointed in himself on an auspicious day.
