It can be fun to have a pet around and for most people, the pet’s presence alone is already an important method of healing and happiness.
Even after you come home feeling tired from work, being able to scratch your cat’s ears or hug your ever-lovable dog can be enough to perk you up. Repeat the same procedure when you’re feeling sad or anxious and you’ll find out just how healthy it is to have a pet in your life.
For most people, the mere presence of a pet is enough. But there are some owners who are more ambitious and one of the first things they will teach their dog is to sit on command.

We’re talking about dogs here because we all know that cats will just frown at you and turn their backs the moment you try to teach them anything. After all, cats exist to be fed and taken care of by you, not the other way around.
In any case, if a dog gets good at “sitting” the owner might want to progress to more practical commands such as “fetch.point 224 |
” And that’s where the matter usually ends unless you plan to take your dog to obedience school for more in-depth training.point 114 | And there are people who actually take that next step and even participate in competitions.point 191 | 1
The clip starts seriously enough with the owner taking the leash off her dog and the judge telling her to begin. The woman then tells her dog to “stay” and then walks over to the other side of the competition area.
The woman then calls her dog over and that’s when hilarity ensues. The pooch apparently got so excited that she ran over to her owner and started a celebratory jig that had everyone in stitches. The owner appeared calm outside but we’re sure she must have been cringing inside at the gaffe.
Here’s what the woman had to say about it: “In a beginner obedience competition, Molly was supposed to sit/stay and wait for me to call her to me. Then she was to sit in front of me and look up. This is the last exercise of the event and Molly decided to celebrate early. We lost a few points but did indeed qualify.”
Well, at least they still qualified and everyone had a good laugh about it!
