The man who has gone viral for his giant, ‘Popeye’ biceps has once again hit the headlines after announcing it is “sale time” following the first of four surgeries to have “jelly and dead muscle” removed from his arms.
23-year-old Russian ‘bodybuilder’ Kirill Tereshin had become obsessed with injecting petroleum jelly into his arms before it spread throughout the tissue and killed off parts of his real muscles.
Left with nothing but lumps of jelly and dead tissue, the doctors were forced to remove chunks of inflamed flesh in order to save the man’s arms and potentially his life.
While one would think that he learned his lesson, Kirill insists that the lumps removed from one of his arms are his “treasures.”
“These are my treasures. Get yourself a piece, it’s ‘sale’ time,” he said after the surgery. “It feels very weird, very unusual. My arm feels lighter. Now I am going through a rehab, soon we will proceed with the next surgery,” he said.
According to the reports, over three pounds of flesh were removed, whereas the young man has to undergo three more surgeries.
After the procedure, Kirill has also admitted that he feels much better and that his arm is much lighter than before.
In a post-surgery video in which Kirill asked his surgeon how much muscle tissue he’s lost, Dr. Dmitry Melnikov was heard saying:
“We cannot choose in your case, I tried to explain this to you. Because the problem is that this is petroleum jelly. You injected this so thoroughly, that it spread in the muscle and killed it. It was dead anyway.
“Petroleum jelly saturates the muscles, under skin tissues and the skin itself. All that has to be removed, but we need to keep the vein, nerves, and other functions of the limb. Petroleum jelly is not designed for injection, only external application.
“Kirill injected about three liters into each arm. It saturated the muscle tissues, blocked blood flow. As a result, the tissue dies and gets replaced with a scar which is as tough as a tree, you can even knock on it and hear the usual sound.”
