If you are a mailman or know any of them, you would have an idea what type of things happen when deliveries are shipped to houses owning dogs.
These dogs may bark at you or even chase you. However, this is the story of a mailman, who not only loves dogs but also gives them treats whenever he is going through on his route.
This emotional story was shared by a Twitter user, who is the daughter of that mailman. She shared that her dad would always carry special gifts for dogs on his route.
This Twitter user, @amorningsting, just went viral for tweeting the most wholesome story about her mailman dad. She tweeted, “My dad is a mailman and he likes to give dogs on his route treats.
Today he told us one of the dogs on his route passed away and his owners gave him this bag of treats with this note” This heart-wrenching note was received with this sad new that dog has passed away. To our surprise, owners of that dog decided to pay it forward in honor of their beloved dog.
This passed away dog was one of the regular dogs in the mailman’s route who was always served with interesting treats every day. The dog was named “Gretchen”, and she was a huge German shepherd, who was owned by “The Cimino Family”.
One day, when the mailman was busy in his everyday activities, he, as usual, stopped to see Gretchen, but instead of seeing her, he received a note with some dog’s food.
This note was presented by the Cimino family, where they thanked the mailman for all the treats he gave to their dog over the years. The note read: “Gretchen passed away yesterday.
She asked me to ask you if you would share her treats that she never got to finish with the other dogs on your route. She always enjoyed seeing you come to the door and was always happy to get a snack from you. Thank you, The Cimino Family.”
