Having a new addition to the family is always a beautiful and very emotional experience, no matter the size of the family.
It is always a joyous and fun-filled occasion.
The emotions are doubled and become even more contagious when it becomes apparent that there is to be not one, but multiple births. Even previously unconcerned neighbors find themselves roped in. As this post details, the Petersons had it rather uniquely.
Ten years ago, Robin Peterson, a gracefully aging mom, and grandma, though her family had been completed. Her beloved daughter, Jennifer, had already given her three healthy grandkids. Frankly, 10 years seemed long enough to warrant closing the chapter of family additions.
Tragically, Jennifer suffered a series of miscarriages which made it seem like a fourth grandchild just was not meant to be for the lady from Krakow, Wisconsin.

In the video below, however, Robin learned that her ‘end’ was not truly the end – finally, there was light at the end of the tunnel. Not only that, there was more to what an end could entail!
At the start of the video, the Wisconsinite had just been given a gift bag from her daughter and she had proceeded to open it. When she had opened it, she had fished out white and pink tissue paper. And then she landed on it – the white onesie! Robin picked on the message almost instantly! A decade after her third baby, Abigail was born, her daughter had made her a grandmother once again. She was delighted. The joy was palpable!
Robin had a wild reaction – and with a proper motive too! After the heartbreaking tragedies, the family had endured, inclusive of numerous miscarriages and all that time that had gone by, coming to the conclusion that the family had reached its completion seemed a no-brainer.
“No way! No way! This cannot be,” Robin shrieked feverishly as she tightly clutched the humble garment in shaking hands. The excitement was beyond her years and any social training. She could not believe her eyes when she saw the little onesie – her dreams of having a fourth grandbaby had come to life.
As the excitement levels continue to go up, Robin’s voice suddenly turns to a high-pitched shriek with her words being muddled into an incoherent noise, as she dances around the kitchen.point 158 |
Her three grandkids all burst into unrestrained mirth as mom and grandma continued to bounce about the living room in sheer excitement.point 272 |

Robbin was jumping up and down in excitement, little did she know that her daughter, Jennifer had not yet revealed to her everything about the forthcoming bundle of joy – there was still one more big surprise to be heard! Old Robin was to be a grandma not to one, but two more babies – she was getting twins!

This time though, Robin was beside herself. She broke into freaky frenzy interspersed with unintelligible mumblings – almost as if to herself. Her great and sudden fortune was greater than she could readily endure. It just had to be let out in a tongue only she could decipher. God had heard and finally answered her prayers of having another grand child,. This time around, he blessed her with more than she had asked. The old lady was thrilled and very grateful.
Peter Budz, Jennifer’s husband who filmed the beautiful moment, said: “After three miscarriages we secretly turned to IVF treatment, as both of us so desperately wanted more children. Robin is such a brilliant grandma, we knew she’d be thrilled at the news – that’s why we decided to keep it a secret and surprise her.”
He further revealed, “Jennifer’s mum had no idea we had begun the process of IVF, so she believed her chances of having any more grandchildren were non-existent. To see her reaction was just brilliant, especially after the past two years of trying to have another so desperately.”
A week after Peter filmed the surprise reveal, Jennifer went to have her final ultrasound scan, which showed that the couple was not having twins, but triplets.
Peter said:
“We lost three and now as if by a miracle, we have gained those three back.
“The second baby’s cells split into two, meaning we’re having identical twins and one fraternal. We didn’t know what to say or do, we just both looked at each other and smiled.”
“After the journey, we’ve had we just can’t wait to meet the three of them,” he added.
Robbin will be welcoming her new grandchildren early next year, they are due January 2018 to be exact.
