A pregnant mother who appeared on a TV show felt suicidal after bosses refused to pull her clip.
25-year-old Dawne Mair said she was ‘intimidated’ after appearing on The Jeremy Kyle Show as it labeled her a ‘liar’ in front of audience and cameras.
The mother-of-three was also subjected to verbal abuse by those who told her to ‘die.’
Dawne appeared on the show two months ago to reignite her relationship with Andy Hough. But during the episode, she failed a lie detector test and claimed she only kissed another man.
The mother also discovered she was pregnant and asked the show to remove her clip.
“They still aired it and it actually made me suicidal,” Dawne expressed. “If it wasn’t for Andy I would’ve ended up committing suicide.”
The two said they are still waiting for relationship counseling from The Jeremy Kyle show. Dawne added: “They ring you one day after the show to ask you if you’re okay.
“You never hear from them again, unless they turn around and want you to get their ratings up.”
Dawne first appeared on the show in 2015 with ex-boyfriend Jamie Rimmer. She was left depressed after other appearances with new partner 28-year-old Andy.
“It broke me down, and made me feel like absolute rubbish. It happened a lot of the times I went on. I got inboxes saying ‘I should go die’, ‘I’m not wanted’ and ‘I’m a mess’.”
The mother said Kyle was very friendly when they first met, but added: “Once you get to know him, Jeremy Kyle is a complete and utter t**t. He makes you feel intimidated.”
The show has been axed after another guest named Steve Dymond committed suicide.
A spokesperson said: “After filming has ended all guests are seen by a member of the guest welfare team to ensure they are feeling calm and emotionally settled before any participant leaves to travel home.”
