A woman suffering from infertility for a span of 14 years was forced to abort her child recently.
The heartbreaking news is bringing tears to so many eyes because being blessed with the glad tidings of a child after such a long time and then being forced to get rid of it just doesn’t make sense.
As it is, getting pregnant and then delivering a child is a difficult process. The society we live in today expects women to do it all and that includes bearing children and raising a family. However, when you’re left infertile for so long, the hopes keep dwindling with each passing day.
One woman shared her heartbreak recently. Moreover, she revealed striking details about how many people dream of becoming parents but that just wasn’t a possibility for her. Not only did she spend 14 long years trying to conceive, but when she did, she had no option but to abort her baby.
“My stepdaughter and husband told me to get rid of it immediately,” she cried. Turning to Reddit as a platform to let out her emotions, the woman says that it was a very distressing affair for her.
The fact that she suffered from one miscarriage during the start of her marriage was bad enough. Hence, the pressure to get pregnant again was so tough. But imagine going through physical and mental pain and exhaustion, only to find out that it was all in vain.
The woman spoke about how she forced herself to turn into a loving wife and good stepmom. She took care of her husband’s kids like they were some of her own. But that just wasn’t good enough for her stepkids or husband.
“I found out that I was pregnant on my 35th birthday. I was so happy because I waited a long time,” she revealed. But the reaction she received from loved ones was the absolute opposite.
Her stepdaughter and husband didn’t think that she would ever get pregnant and when she did, they just found it to be weird and not necessary. But enough was enough for her. The woman said that she had no choice but to leave and go to her parents’ house. In a place where there is no love and respect, there’s no point in staying, she revealed.
