A pregnant woman has asked the internet for help after receiving an unsuspecting complaint from a neighbor.
As the anonymous mother-to-be revealed in her Reddit post, she was left stunned after one of her neighbors confronted her over her loud puking.
According to the woman, she has been experiencing severe morning sickness that on occasion makes her throw up several times per day. To make matters even worse, her female neighbor started complaining about the noise that comes along with puking and even went as far as to threaten to file a complaint against the woman.
“My neighbor knocked on my door and said she could hear my ‘loud puking’ all the time, and she has a gag reflex when she hears people throwing up. She said she has almost thrown up after hearing me,” the mom-to-be revealed.
“I am in my first trimester and haven’t even told my family that I’m pregnant yet, so I didn’t really want to share with my neighbor.
“But it seemed like she was implying that I was purposely making myself vomit so I felt like I had to explain.”
In her post, the woman also claimed that her neighbor had asked her if she could turn on the water or play music before throwing up to avoid disturbing her.
To get rid of her pushy neighbor, the mom-to-be went on to apologize for puking and reassure the neighbor that she would do her best to block the sounds that come along with her pregnancy symptom.
Though the neighbor “didn’t seem happy” about the promise, she eventually left the mom-to-be alone only to come at her again the following day.
“My neighbor knocked on my door yesterday and said she has still heard me and would be talking to management if it didn’t stop,” the woman added.
“I was exhausted and over it, so I told her, ‘okay then’ and closed the door.”
After asking internet users if she’s being unreasonable, the mom-to-be received lots of support. Many people were left baffled by her allegations, whereas some suggested the neighbor was simply overreacting over something the mom-to-be has no control of.
