Former President Bill Clinton Rushed To The Hospital And Admitted In The ICU After Suffering Sepsis


Former president Bill Clinton was admitted to the intensive care unit after suffering fatigue as a result of sepsis.

The 42nd President of the United States was rushed to the UCI Medical Center in California on Tuesday after experiencing fatigue upon his visit to The Golden State.

According to a CNN report, the former president remains in the ICU at the California hospital as he continues to battle sepsis caused by a urinary tract infection.

During his stay at the UCI Medical Center, the Democrat’s wife, Hillary Clinton, was spotted visiting her husband at the hospital while flanked by security detail.

Following the former president’s hospitalization, Clinton’s spokesperson Angel Ureña confirmed that the 75-year-old’s condition is steadily improving.

“On Tuesday evening, President Clinton was admitted to UCI Medical Center to receive treatment for a non-COVID-related infection. He is on the mend, thankful to the doctors, nurses and staff providing him with excellent care,” he said.

Meanwhile, CNN reported that the former president is already able to talk to his family and make rounds around his unit.

Revealing that Clinton’s condition is improving were also his physicians, Dr. Lisa Bardack and Dr. Alpesh Amin, who confirmed the cause of the hospitalization.

“President Clinton was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center and diagnosed with an infection. He was admitted to the hospital for close monitoring and administered IV antibiotics and fluids,” they said in a joint statement.

“He remains at the hospital for continuous monitoring. After two days of treatment, his white blood cell count is trending down and he is responding to antibiotics well.

“The California-based medical team has been in constant communication with the President’s New York-based medical team, including his cardiologist. We hope to have him go home soon.”
