When people are observing social distancing in Italy due to the fear of coronavirus, priests have come up with an innovative idea to conduct masses.
But not all are doing well.
An Italian priest, who was conducting a mass on live streaming, accidentally turned on the video filter effects.
The video, which has now amassed above three million views on Twitter, shows priest Paolo Longo stepping back after turning the Facebook Live camera on.
As soon as the video starts, the video effects start showing up on the face of the priest as he continues his sermon on the video link.
The hilarious video shows Mr. Longo standing in the middle of a cross and altar as a helmet comes out of nowhere and covers his head.
Then the video effects change suddenly and start showing animated weights, followed with falling yellow confetti surrounding the priest with sunglasses on his eyes.
At one point in the video, a magnificent grey beard grows on the priest’s face after which his face transforms into a black and white cat’s face.
In other parts, he can be seen with a pink mustache and being hidden behind a giant cartoon.
Unaware of his digital plight, the priest continued delivering the mass live on Facebook.
The massive blunder was shared by Gavin Shoebridge on Twitter with the caption: “Unfortunately he activated the video filters by mistake.”
Since the official announcement of lockdown in the country on March 9, priests all over Italy are conducting online services.
Currently, the lockdown in Italy has barred all sorts of movement except that required for urgent work or health circumstances.
So far, Italy has 69,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and there have been 6,820 deaths in the country.
Health officials from Italy reported on Tuesday that the deaths increased from 6,077 to 6,280 after another 743 people died in a single day.
