Prince Harry performed a duet alongside Job Bon Jovi at Abbey Road Studios for charity and then went on to recreate the iconic zebra crossing photo from Beatles’ album cover.
The Sussex Royal Instagram account shared a teaser video showing the prince singing with Bon Jovi, recording their single Unbroken to raise money for the prince’s charitable Invictus Games Foundation.
However, the video cut out before the actual singing started.
After the video was shared, Bon Jovi appreciated the efforts of the prince, saying: “He was great. He knew the song and then he heard it a couple of times and we got to catch up.”
Someone asked the singer about the time when he got a chance to sing with Taylor Swift and Prince William on stage to give an opinion about which of the two princes was better at singing.
Bon Jovi diplomatically replied, saying: “They both have a set of pipes they really do.”
After the recording was over, Prince Harry posed with Invictus Games Choir members and the Livin’ On a Prayer star for a photo on Abbey Roads Studio’s famous zebra crossing, the same one that was featured on the cover of the Beatle’s 1969 album cover.
The picture, originally shot by Ian Macmillan from Fab Four, has given the zebra crossing a Grade II listed status and draws a large number of music fans to it every year.
A number of people, just like the prince, pose here every day to recreate the 1969 photo.
In the photo recreated by the duke, the leading crossing was Andy Mudd, in his wheelchair, following him was Bon Jovi, then Susan Warner and at the last was Harry.
Prince Harry was in the same position as taken by George Harrison in the original 1969 photo.
The police halted the traffic to let the foursome take the snap as scores of people and press agents flooded the scene to witness history being re-written.
It took place as tourists who came to witness the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace were welcomed by a number of Bon Jovi’s hit songs including It’s My Life and Livin’ on a Prayer.
Harry has come to England from Canada this week to complete his last royal engagements before he relinquishes his royal charges on March 31.
