Prince Harry ‘is not so thrilled about his new life in the US’ and has realized ‘how frozen out he is’ from the rest of his family, royal watchers claimed.
His attendance at the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral was the first time he had been back in Britain since the tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The Duke of Sussex arrived in the UK for his grandfather’s funeral on April 17. However, he reportedly had a frosty reception as the bombshell allegations made in the interview did not go down well with other members of the Royal Family.
In the explosive interview, Meghan and Harry said there were concerns about how dark their son Archie’s skin tone would be and accused the family of racism.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussexes also accused The Firm of being insensitive to her mental health problems as the former actress claimed that she had suicidal thoughts during her pregnancy.
After the reunion with the royals at the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral, royal experts said the event reminded Harry of his life in the UK as he still adjusts to his new life in the US with his wife and son.
Speaking to talkRADIO, Charlie Rae, a former royal editor for The Sun, said: “Out in the US, Harry looks like a startled rabbit caught in the headlights.”
Host Kevin O’Sullivan said: “We read that Harry was shocked by the frosty reception he got from some members of the Royal Family. Some literally turned their back on him. He was stunned by this – I’m not sure why that was a surprise to him.
“It must be occurring to him how frozen out he is, how he has turned his back on his former life. There is suggestion that when he came back a few weeks ago, he was reminded of his old life.”
He continued: “He felt rather nostalgic about it and he isn’t so thrilled about his new circumstances as he wants you to believe.”
Mr. Rae also said that he does not believe William and Charles ‘will be extending their open arms again to Harry.’
