Princess Charlotte will turn five on May 2 and the little royal will celebrate her birthday with cake, games and a Zoom party with the Queen via video call.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will organize a fun-filled celebration at Anmer Hall, the Norfolk home which was gifted to them by The Queen as a wedding gift.
The lockdown will not spoil the little Princess’ birthday as her parents have made sure their daughter has ‘all the fun of a birthday.’ The family will maintain social-distancing and no rule will be violated while celebrating Charlotte’s birthday in isolation.
After moving to the house, Kate renovated it to make it more appealing for her kids. The house boasts a tennis court, an outdoor swimming pool and a glass-topped garden room.
Speaking about Princess Charlotte’s birthday a source told The Sun: “The family has arranged a Zoom party for her, so she can speak to family and friends. Then, they have put together a full plan that will give her all the fun of a birthday – including cake and games – despite the extraordinary circumstances we are faced with.’’
“Her great-grandmother will be joining the family call on the big day. As far as Charlotte is concerned, the important part is that her whole family are by her side to say: ‘Happy Birthday’.
“And you have to realize that she doesn’t know anything different – she’s grown up with tablets and video calls, so she won’t be fazed.”
Prince Philip who has a natural connection with Charlotte might also join the call to celebrate the day. The source added, “There may be the best part of a century between them, but the two have a natural connection. It’s the mischievous streak that can’t be learned – it’s an integral part of who they both are.
“Philip has no shortage of descendants. The fact that he takes such a close interest in Charlotte is telling. She has a spark about her that transcends the generations.”
There is no doubt that even after the lockdown Charlotte will have the best time celebrating her special day with her family. Princess Charlotte has been winning everyone’s heart ever since she arrived in this world. She is an epitome of cuteness and nobody can ever forget her cheeky comment to photographers outside Prince Louis’s christening.
