Principal Showed What Happens When Nobody’s At School On A Snow Day

I remember back in school days, I always waited for the snow.

On snow days, we didn’t go to school and I stayed at home playing with my sister and neighbors.

So we all gathered in front of a television and waited for the news that we didn’t have to go school.

One day when I was in 4th grade, I wondered whether principal went school on a snow day and if he was there, what he did at empty school.

And NOW after few decades, I’ve got an answer!

Last year, on a snowy day in Maryland, the students of Waterloo Elementary School stayed in their homes due to Winter Storm Jonas.

Principal Martin, however, headed to school and did something amazing and super fun!

He set up a camera at the school and created a video about what he usually does on a snow day.

He has stayed 11 years as principal at Waterloo Elementary School and record how he spend his boring day without his students at the school.

On the video below, principal sings on the empty hallways and plays basketball in the gym. And the funniest moment happens in front of the restroom. Watch the video below to check out.

At that point, the school janitor comes in the scene!

When the students, the teachers, and the parents watched the video, they all laughed and were delighted.

“I figured people are starting to feel a little stir crazy, and I thought our staff and community would appreciate a lighthearted perspective about what goes on in school during snow days. I posted it to my staff first and before I realized it, I had all these hits. And I was like, how did this get this out there?” principal Martin told The Baltimore Sun.
