The saying goes that “curiosity killed the cat” and that could have originated because cats tend to be overly curious creatures.
But to be fair to cats, curiosity is an in-built trait among all living creatures. Without curiosity, there is simply no motivation to explore the world and learn more about it.
Curiosity is what led primitive humans to discover fire (after the got over a few burns, that is) and that inner desire to know more is what drives scientists to uncover more of the secrets of our universe. Suffice to say, without curiosity, some of humanity’s biggest achievements and scientific advancements wouldn’t have happened.

Of course, too much curiosity also has negative consequences. The ideal outcome would be for one to survive the unfortunate results of being overly curious and go home the wiser. But we all know that some people are just prime candidates for the so-called “Darwin award.”
That being said, the younger one is, the more curious one is. Or rather, the cognitive restraints that one has as an adult is still not fully developed or, in the case of infants, is not developed at all. And this can lead to some pretty hairy situations for parents if they’re not careful. As it turns out, this also applies to animals, as well.
We’ve all seen how puppies and kittens just go sniffing their way around their immediate environment and it’s totally adorable. At least, that’s the case until they get into some sort of mishaps like tipping over an expensive vase or something.
One particular puppy got too curious for his own good when he thought a toy beehive would be a great place to get his head into until he got stuck. The owner was out of the room when it happened and just walked in on the puppy’s hilarious reaction to getting an involuntary head covering.
The owner wrote: “That is what you get, puppy, for going through the beehive. I walked into the room and found him struggling to get the crumbs at the bottom of a toy hive and to get it off his head. It was a hilarious minute I just happened to walk into.”
It was a breeze for the owner to free the poor puppy’s head by pulling out the toy beehive though she had to get her puppy to stay still for a moment as it kept waving its head around.
Still, it was a hilarious moment and hopefully, the puppy has already learned his lesson. Good thing it was only a toy beehive!
