A 10-year-old puppy that was stolen from its owner’s property has safely returned to his home after the video of the act of stealing went viral.
In the footage, a black Cadillac SUV pulled over to a house, with two men standing close to the fenced lawn. They were looking at the group of canines when one suddenly leaned over and reached into the animals’ enclosure.
He picked up a French Mastiff puff by its neck, causing the pooch to yelp in pain, then took it away and jumped into their black car.
The adorable puppy named Chipper is only ten weeks old!
Fortunately, there is a happy ending to this dog story. Firefighter Matt Ivy, Chipper’s owner, wrote on Facebook saying that he has finally been reunited with his furry companion.
He wrote: “ON MY WAY TO HOPEFULLY PICK UP CHIPPER!!!!!!Standby for confirmation. I can not thank everybody that has helped enough!!!!!”
Ivy informed concerned Facebook users with the news they had also been waiting for. Soon after that, he created another post saying:
“CHIPPER IS BACK HOME!!!!!! (gotta go back to firehouse and finish my shift, will give details of what happened when I can, probably tomorrow).
AGAIN I CAN NOT THANK EACH AND EVERYONE ONE OF YOU ENOUGH FOR YOUR COMPASSION, PRAYERS, SUPPORT, SHARES, AND HAVING MY BACK WITH THE SILLY TROLLS AND HATERS!!!”
Sharing more about what happened, Ivy wrote:
“Somebody sold Chipper to a good man that called me and returned him. Sorry it’s so short, police have asked me to keep details minimal.”
In another post, Ivy explained: “Kind man that brought me back Chipper is Brian at Omar’s Wheel and Tire in Garland, TX. He’s the hero and absolutely getting half the reward money. Another man that has been key in the investigation is getting the other half.
Huge thanks to everyone for donating to these two men that had the utmost integrity here in doing the right thing!
I haven’t been told if thieves have been caught yet.”
We are glad that 10-week-old Chipper has finally arrived back to his home! SHARE this story if you also feel the same.
