While we all learned math in school, most of us have forgotten almost everything about it as the years passed on.
To freshen up your memory and put your skills to the test, we have prepared a series of math problems that are waiting for you to solve them.
While these math puzzles look simple, take your time to make sure you answer them correctly. Also, keep in mind that you will have to follow the correct order of operations, such as PEMDAS or BODMAS, to get to the solution.
Here comes the first challenge!
7 (7 – 2 × 3) = ?
Look closely at the equation before checking out the breakdown of the problem below. To help you solve it on your own, here’s a hint. Brackets have the highest priority, so you should take care of what’s inside them first.
Also, multiplication has a higher priority than subtraction, meaning you should multiply the numbers in the brackets before subtracting anything.
7 (7 – 2 × 3) =
7 (7 – 6) =
7 (1) =
7
