Look closely at the equation before checking out the breakdown of the problem below. To help you solve it on your own, here’s a hint. Brackets have the highest priority, so you should take care of what’s inside them first.

Also, multiplication has a higher priority than subtraction, meaning you should multiply the numbers in the brackets before subtracting anything.
