Everybody knows who Joe ‘The Body Coach’ Wicks is.
He is an internet sensation known for teaching people about health and fitness through his YouTube Channel “The Body Coach TV”.
Considering the current scenario where people are stuck at home as part of social distancing and self-isolation measures, Joe has stepped in as the “nation’s PE teacher,” offering free health and fitness sessions to people via the internet.
He has started daily PE lessons from Monday to Friday, starting at 9 am on his YouTube Channel. The 30-minute sessions are designed specifically for children since their schools are closed, and there is no PE.
He said that they don’t have to worry about it as he is going to take over. In his video, he is telling parents that he is going to get their kids moving, feeling optimistic, positive, and energized.
However, his first live session that got nearly 800,000 streams showed that it wasn’t just kids that are interested in staying fit during the quarantine, as many grownups tuned in too.
What’s interesting was that soon, the adults realized that they aren’t as fit as they had imagined themselves to be.
People took to Twitter to share their experience regarding their PE sessions with Joe. One user wrote that he is just done with the Joe Wicks PE class, and it is safe to say that he is seriously unfit.
Another user said that he did the workout with his little sister and felt that he is unfit more than he had imagined.
While the 30-minute session took the toll out of them, it doesn’t mean that they didn’t enjoy doing PE with Joe. People were motivated and promised that they will come back tomorrow for another session.
People are thanking Joe for starting such an initiative when everything and everyone is down.
