Queen Elizabeth II has been branded a “wonderful supporter” of a sex toy brand after awarding the company with recognition.
Lovehoney, the number one sex toy brand in the UK, has been honored by Her Majesty for the second time as they received The Queen’s Award for Enterprise thanks to their successful growth and a surge in sales.
The company first received the prestigious award back in 2015 when owners met with the Royal Family, including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, at Buckingham Palace.
Since 2015, the company has seen a 365% rise in overseas sales, prompting the queen to once again honor the sex toy brand with the top award that signifies quality and success.
Thanks to the royal award, Lovehoney can now use the logo of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in marketing and packaging for at least another five years.
“We are thrilled to have received official recognition from the Queen. Her Majesty has been a wonderful supporter of Lovehoney as we have grown into being the world’s leading sexual wellness brand,” the company’s CCO, Debbie Bond, said of the award.
“Royal patronage will help us to create more jobs at our Bath headquarters and in our international offices and spread the sexual happiness message globally.
“The Queen is the UK’s greatest trade ambassador and royal approval shows again how mainstream shoppers and retail outlets are embracing sexual wellness products as never before and appreciating their importance in improving overall well-being – a particularly important message as we come out of lockdown after a stressful year living with the pandemic.”
