Members of the Royal family have sent heartfelt messages to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son Archie as he celebrated his second birthday.
The official Instagram account of the Royal Family, which is managed by the staff of the Queen, shared a photo of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex introducing their son to the world in May 2019 along with the caption: “Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 2nd birthday today.”
Prince William and Kate Middleton also shared well-wishes to Archie with photos taken at his Christening in July 2019, featuring Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and Princess Diana’s sisters Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes.
“Wishing Archie a very happy 2nd birthday today,” the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wrote.
Prince Charles’ message reads: “Happy birthday to Archie, who turns two today.
” His post includes a black and white photo of Harry and Archie in his Christening while Prince Charles looks at them with a smile on his face.
Meghan and Harry, who will welcome a baby girl, are expected to celebrate their son’s birthday privately in their California home.
This comes only two days after the Duchess of Sussex announced that she will release her first book, The Bench, which explores the ‘special bond between father and son’ as ‘seen through a mother’s eyes.’
“The Bench started as a poem I wrote for my husband on Father’s Day, the month after Archie was born,” Meghan said in a statement.
“That poem became this story.
Christian layered in beautiful and ethereal watercolor illustrations that capture the warmth, joy, and comfort of the relationship between fathers and sons from all walks of life; this representation was particularly important to me, and Christian and I worked closely to depict this special bond through an inclusive lens,” she continued.
“My hope is that The Bench resonates with every family, no matter the makeup, as much as it does with mine.”
