The Queen has reportedly invited Harry to lunch as the young Prince welcomed daughter Lilibet Diana into his family.
Though Harry and Meghan repeatedly slammed the monarchy and made bold allegations against senior Royals in recent months, the Queen appears to have extended an olive branch to her grandson.
As Richard Eden wrote for DailyMail.com, the monarch allegedly invited Harry to join her for a lunch at Windsor Castle when he flies to his home country in July to unveil the new Princess Diana statue alongside his brother, Prince William.
“It’s a typically magnanimous gesture by Her Majesty. The lunch will be a chance for them to talk things through,” a courtier reportedly told Eden.
While it is not clear to us when exactly the invitation was made, it is believed that Her Majesty’s peace offering came before the birth of baby Lilibet.
Furthermore, the invitation likely doesn’t apply to Meghan since she is expected to stay in her Montecito, California mansion together with her two children when Harry flies abroad.
If Harry chooses to attend the lunch with his grandmother, this will be the first time he will speak to the Queen in private since the controversial Megxit last year.
As one can imagine, the conversation could be very interesting considering everything that has happened in recent months.
Though Meghan and Harry insist they were struggling with mental health during their time in the UK, the Queen appears to be unfazed by their allegations, whereas she invited Harry over for lunch after he said his family was going through “genetic pain and suffering” and claimed he dreaded going back to the UK.
