Queen Elizabeth And Prince Philip Sent Condolence To The Victims In Canada Attack


Queen Elizabeth who turned 94 on April 21 released statement to show condolence to the Governor-General and Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, Canada regarding the unfortunate shooting.

The official social media page of the Royal family shared the statement from the Queen and her husband Prince Philip on her birthday.

It read, “Prince Philip and I have been deeply saddened by the appalling events in Nova Scotia, and we send our condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of those who have lost their lives.”

“I also pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the officers from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and other police services who selflessly responded to these devastating attacks, and to the emergency services who are supporting those who have been injured and affected.”

The total number of deaths from the mass shooting in Canada reached 23. An elementary school teacher, a cancer survivor and a family of three were among the dead people. During the pandemic, another tragedy took place which took many people’s lives in Canada.

The Queen’s statement which was also released in French continued: “My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Nova Scotia and all Canadians at this tragic time.”

The monarch spent her birthday privately at Windsor Castle where she and her husband Prince Philip are self-isolating together. She requested not to do any special gun salutes to mark her birthday.

Kate and William took to social media to wish the Queen along with a photo of them together. The royal couple wrote on their Kensington Royal Instagram page, “Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a very happy 94th birthday today!”

Prince Charles shared some old and new photos to wish his mother. He wrote, “Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a very Happy 94th Birthday.”
