The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has proved time and again that she is not here to follow the Queen’s strict fashion rules.
Her little black tuxedo mini dress that she wore to last week’s charity performance of the hit musical Hamilton has raised many eyebrows as it was a thigh-skimming outfit which the Royal women are not allowed to wear.
We all know, there is an unwritten protocol about what Royal women should wear and Meghan is clearly breaking those rules.
Meghan’s £459 dress by Canadian label Judith & Charles broke the rules of the rigid dress code of the Royal Family.
For those who don’t know what are the Royal fashion rules and how is Meghan breaking them?
Rule No 1: NO BARE LEGS
Short dresses that show off your legs aren’t allowed. And, if you are wearing the one, you should wear tights or stockings.
But, Meghan appears to be breaking this rule.
Rule No 2: NO SKIRTS ABOVE THE KNEE
Royal women are not allowed to wear skirts or dresses that are above the knee. And, Meghan’s recent thigh-skimming dress clearly wasn’t appropriate, according to Royal fashion rules.
Rule No 3: NO BLACK
Because black is reserved among Royals for public displays of mourning but Meghan has worn so many black outfits after her Royal wedding to Prince Harry.
Rule No 4: TROUSER SUITS
Trouser suits are also not allowed but Meghan wore it in Dublin in July.
Rule No 5: NO Off-the-shoulder DRESS
Meghan wore an off-the-shoulder dress when she was spotted on the Palace balcony for Trooping the Colour in June.
