An adorable video has emerged that shows a rabbit trying to wake its owners up by running around the couple’s bed in their family home in Ipswich, Suffolk.
Richard Thompson and his fiancée Kimberly Joanne can be seen sleeping peacefully in the video while their two-year-old pet rabbit named Jeremy is running around their bed to wake them up.
Richard can be seen giggling while his fiancée trying to sleep for a few more minutes.
Richard shared the video online and it instantly went viral, leaving people in awe. One user commented on the video: ‘That’s what young cats or rabbits do. All night, play. Can’t be mad at these things, they’re amusing themselves. Other bunny on the floor is in a total different dimension I guess, old age.’
Richard and Kim have four rabbits and four cats. Richard says about Jeremy: “We have 2 free range house bunnies. Recently, due to how well behaved they have been, we have taken to feeding them their cabbage in the evening on the bed.”
“They are perfectly litter trained and have never peed or pooped on the bed. I suggested we let them stay in overnight in the hope that they would snuggle up to us. No such luck.”
“This is the first time he’s done this while we’ve been asleep, he’s just happy and burning off energy. I wasn’t too grumpy about the whole situation, you can hear me laughing in the video.”
“He’s so cute that you just can’t be mad at him, Kim was slightly grumpier hence her comment, but to be fair he did jump on her face. After this I did manage to get back to sleep. I only checked the footage the next day because I vaguely remembered waking up.”
