Coronavirus has turned into a pandemic and the world is on an alert.
Following the same, Ralph Lauren has pledged to donate $10 million to aid the cause.
The company also announced a major change in production. As the outbreak has hit the USA tremendously, hospitals are running out of safety gear for medical professionals.
There are almost no gowns and masks to keep the medics safe. Thus, Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation has announced to make 25,000 isolation gowns and 250,000 masks to provide to hospitals in the USA.
When it was asked about the donation, the chairperson of the company said that at the time of crisis, they wanted to pay their part to help the society and the country.
The 80 years old chairman said “what keeps our company together and going is the spirit of togetherness. This is where the great ideas come out from and influence the creativity of the designers.
The spirit motivates their confidence and supports every person in the company as they keep moving forward. The past months have been tough but the spirit has been stronger than ever.
In the USA alone, the count of the positive cases has gone above 140,000, making it the most affected country in the world.
As per the reports revealed by each country, China stands on 81,470. Whereas Italy has reported 97,689 cases with 10,779 deaths in total. Spain has also left China behind with 85,195 registered cases and 7,340 deaths.
Addressing the same, the president of the USA, Donald Trump said that China has not revealed the real number of cases they had seen till now. He said, “we are not aware of the real numbers of cases in China yet.”
He then later tweeted and praised the government of China for controlling the outbreak so fast.
