After a video on Youtube went viral, two boys present in the video were arrested after they stormed the aisles in Asda on bikes.
The group filmed themselves as they were rampaging the supermarket located in Brighton, East Sussex. They also terrorized the families, punched a man, and struggled with an elderly lady.
The yobs were seen knocking items off the racks and narrowly missing shoppers. A member of the public shouted in retaliation that the boys did not even care to which one of the youths stood up to cycle and laughed.
One of them could be seen scuffling with an old woman when she grabs him. His other mates tell her to get off him and then he breaks free to cycle around with his gang.
The twelve and nineteen-year-old were arrested by Sussex Police after reports against them for their threatening behavior at the Brighton Marina supermarket on the evening on 23rd June were put up.
The officers went to Greenwich, South East London according to the boys’ address and arrested the two of them on suspicion of bodily harm. The nineteen-year-old was arrested on the basis of suspicion of dangerous cycling and threatening behavior.
The GBH allegation is regarding an incident in which due to the confrontation with youths from the gang, a passer-by fell and suffered a broken rib and broken wrist.
Superintendent Julia Pope said that they have made it extremely clear that they will not tolerate any such behavior. She added that they have been working endlessly to locate the group with the Metropolitan Police’s assistance.
She further noted that the investigation is continued and they hope to make additional arrests.
She requested that any witnesses or victims who were present in the area of the incident to contact them by reporting online or calling 101, quoting serial 924 or 23/06.
