Qaq’mane Wilson, an aspiring rapper from Chicago, was sentenced to 99 years in prison after it was discovered that he hired a hitman to kill his mother.
The rapper who performs under the name of ‘Young QC’ was sentenced to 99 years in prison by Judge Stanley Sacks, who also gave the gunman, Eugene Spencer, 100 years in jail for killing Yolanda Holmes in 2012.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the judge said: “The word is ‘matricide’, meaning murder of one’s own mother.”
Judge Sacks noted what had become obvious was that the rapper, who was 23 years old at the time his mother was killed in her flat, was doted on by Holmes when he ordered her assassination.
During Wilson’s sentencing, the judge said: “Whatever he wanted, his mother gave to him. A car. A job. One could say he was spoiled. She gave Qaw’mane life, and it was his choice to take it way from her.”
According to prosecutors, Wilson’s girlfriend and Spencer went to Holmes’ flat to carry out the murder so that Wilson could take her money.
Wilson then withdrew almost $70,000 from Holmes’ bank accounts months after she passed away and spent the money on his car and flashy clothes.
In a video the rapper shared online, he can be seen giving cash to his fans while saying he knows how to ‘give back’ to his supporters.
When Wilson was asked if he had anything to say before the ruling, he said: “I just want to say, nobody loved my mother more than me. She was all I had. That’s it.”
One internet user commented: “What the hell is wrong with people?”
Another wrote: “Evil little scum bag now he has all those years to sit and think of his mustang as it won’t be his mother he will be thinking about.”
