33-year-old American singer and rapper Jeremih is reportedly fighting for his life in the intensive care unit.
Jeremy Phillip Felton, better known by his stage name Jeremih, was hospitalized and placed on a ventilator on Saturday following complications related to Covid-19.
As the young singer and songwriter’s agent told Variety, Jeremih is “still in ICU in critical condition” even though he was removed from the ventilator.
“J was just pulled off the ventilator. He’s still in ICU in critical condition. Please keep him in your prayers,” the agent told the publication.
Following the news of the rapper’s hospitalization, his fans and friends have expressed their support as they called for prayers for the 33-year-old Down on Me hitmaker.
“Pray for my boy Jeremih he’s not doing good this covid s*** is real,” rapper 50 Cent wrote on social media on Saturday before revealing that the singer was in a Chicago ICU.
Calling for prayers and words of support for his friend was also Chance the Rapper who wrote:
“Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now.
“I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him.”
Jeremih has risen to fame after signing with Def Jam Records back in 2009. Since then, the rapper has released a series of albums, including four studio albums. His most recent studio album called MihTy was released in 2018.
Back in 2009, Jeremih also hit the US Billboard Hot 100 as his single ‘Birthday S*x’ speared as number four on the chart.
