The FDA has carried out an investigation on the ground tuna as they suspect a link between frozen ground tuna and salmonella.
Be careful about what you eat, anything can be that one thing that can make you super unhealthy and that is the one thing that no one wishes to get into, right?
Well with the outbreak of salmonella in the nation, Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control are seriously concerned for the health care of the people.
According to the two, there are already several reported cases of salmonella infection and the cause of 13 out of all was because of ground tune.
Which means no matter how much you love tuna or tuna sushi, you would have to avoid it to save yourself from the infection to catch you up.
Well, these 13 tuna cases were from Jensen Tuna and because of the same, the company is making a recall. These tuna packs were of 1 pound each and the entire box weighed about 20 pounds.
The company has given out batch numbers of the probably infected tuna packs and says that the batch was distributed in Connecticut, Iowa, Illinois, New York, Minnesota, Washington, and North Dakota. But the company also says that the product might be available in other states as well.
The 13 cases that have been reported until now happened between Jan 8 to March 20. Two of the patients with the infection were even hospitalized but until now there has been no reported case of death because of the same.
The 13 victims of the salmonella infection because of tuna were in an interview and were interrogated and that is how the points were connected and it was found out that all the tuna was from Jensen Tuna.
So if you are the one to order spicy tuna rolls where ever you go, you know it is the time to stop or you might end with the infection too.
