Missouri representative Cori Bush has spent around $70,000 over her private security, despite being a strong advocate for the popular ‘defund the police’ movement.
Over the past few months. Cori Bush was renowned for raising her voice over the movement as she strongly supported the act of defunding the police and all campaigns relating to it. This is again proved via a number of filings but little did anybody know that she herself was secretly spending a huge sum of money on her own private security.
Local media outlets confirmed how her campaign sent massive payments entailing around $54,120.92 between the months of April through June. This was in relation to her security services for RS&T Security Consulting. The latter is a New York-based security firm that has a shady online presence.
But recent records released from the Federal Election Commission proved all these rumors to be true, shocking plenty of American citizens along the way.
Surprisingly, the Democrat’s campaign also went about paying around $15,000 towards security services from Nathaniel Davis company during that same time period.
The massive $69,120 worth of security payments accounted for nearly a third of her $197,000 campaign expenses as proved by the FEC records.
While the website for RS&T is currently inactive, there is a cached version present for the website that proved how her group received executive protection rights that entail ‘first-class executive protection’ as well as security for both national as well as international figures.
The reason why this is all such a big deal is that the Democrat from Missouris always held a strong opinion about law enforcement, being a hardcore advocate that favored defunding the police.point 269 |
In addition, there have been numerous occasions where she claimed how it’s not a radical idea to consider it while praising St.point 112 | Louis during the month of April for passing a historic vote that actually defunded the police.point 191 | 1
