Heartbreaking news coming out from the outskirts of Kabul Airport has confirmed how a rescue truck carrying around 174 animals was recently targeted by the Taliban.
The entire incident was witnessed by a former Royal Marine who recently made headlines when he spoke about his mission to evacuate his animals and rescue staff. The animal rescue charity boss began a welfare organization in Kabul where he designated his time and efforts to take care of and rescuing dogs and cats.
However, ever since the Taliban takeover, Pen Farthing revealed that he just didn’t have the heart to exit Kabul without his animals and his staff that he referred to as a family.

After waiting for more than ten hours, he pleaded with authorities and the Taliban to let him through as he feared his animals would die. But after seeing the worsening condition carry on, day in and day out, his trained Afghan staff at the Nowzad shelter feel that it is too big of a risk for him to stay back.
