All living creatures respond to kindness and compassion as long as you give them the chance.
Even for animals who faced abuse at the hands of their previous owners and thus tend to be cautious and/or aggressive toward other humans, compassion has a way of eventually breaking through all barriers.
In the case of this pitbull named Rudy, she can be seen just lounging back with a relaxing bath and enjoying the snacks being given to her.
Watch the pitbull enjoying the bath below.

The sight calls to mind a relaxing appointment at the spa where an attendant holds your lemonade glass as you take a sip as your nails are being manicured.
With such a carefree attitude, it’s hard to believe that Rudy was actually just rescued in New York City. Rudy’s second chance at life is thanks to the Special Needs Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation- S.N.A.R.R Animal Rescue Northeast.
This rescue organization is based in Westchester County, New York and was founded by Courtney Bellew in 2011. They specialize in finding forever homes for even the most hopeless canines. This includes dogs that have serious medical conditions such as being deaf and blind, paralysis, neurological deficits, and orthopedic issues.
In short, the group has taken upon themselves the task of saving animals who would otherwise have been euthanized because they are considered unwanted. It’s a very difficult task yet it is also very rewarding. The group’s motto is, “Big, small, thin, fat, young, old, healthy or sick… SNARR will do their best.”
In the case of Rudy, they took her in because she’s a Pitbull. Pitbulls have gained something of a bad rap because they are often portrayed as aggressive and scary. Because of this negative reputation surrounding Pitbulls, they are often neglected at shelters and it’s almost impossible to find them a forever home. This has the unfortunate side effect of making this breed a more likely candidate for euthanasia.
However, the group wants to combat this social prejudice and this can be clearly seen in the case of Rudy who’s as carefree as any other dog can be.point 256 |
She even falls asleep while soaking in the tub! As mentioned earlier, kindness and compassion go a long way in bringing out the same response in animals, even those who came from an abusive background.point 167 | 1
The work that SNARR does is definitely worthy of support and even if you don’t plan on adopting a rescue animal anytime soon, do consider making a donation to help further the organization’s mission.
