What if you are at a restaurant and order $300 wine but accidentally they serve you $5,726.
25 bottle? Well, the same happened with a customer who dined at Hawksmoor Manchester in England.
A group of three businessmen ordered a bottle of roughly $300 but they were served a costly bottle of Chateau Le Pin Pomerol by mistake.
Actually, it was the manager’s mistake who grasped the wrong bottle and gave it to the server. Hawksmoor Manchester shared a picture on their Twitter handle and told about their mistake.
They wrote, ’’To the customer who accidentally got given a bottle of Chateau Le Pin Pomerol 2001, which is $5726 on our menu, last night – hope you enjoyed your evening! To the member of staff who accidentally gave it away, chin up! One-off mistakes happen and we love you anyway.’’
’’THEY LOOK PRETTY SIMILAR OK?!’’
‘’I m sure you’re all getting tired of this now, so one last thing, to the people who put homelessness in Manchester next to ‘£4500 wine?!’ and suggesting we have no values: we’ve raised well over £1m for @ACF_UK, work with @WoodSt_Mission and @notjustsoupMCR. We have values.’’

Beckett, the restaurant owner said in an interview with The Washington Post, “When they told me about it I thought, ‘Oooh that is an expensive mistake,’’
“At the same time, I thought it’s the same kind of I’m-not-concentrating thing I would do. It’s just an unfortunate human error.”
“The restaurant industry is a place where you can get hammered for making mistakes, and we don’t want to be that place.”
Well, it was such a costly mistake but the restaurant handled it very well and social media users appreciated the restaurant for the same.
One person commented on the post: ‘’Congrats and compliments to the management, who treated their employee as a human being, and for the excellent free marketing which made you instantly more famous. Great stuff, keep going!’’
‘’This is the sign of a great company. Able to laugh at “mistakes”, able to understand they happen, able to see through it all and still recognize great staff and great work. This is how you win customers and public backing,’’ said another.
