Every business wants to put the best employees in the right positions to make sure their business stays healthy.

Whenever you have a public facing position, the rule of thumb is that the person be very friendly, easy to interact with and free of visible tattoos and piercings.

One restaurant located in the United Kingdom has decided to buck this trend, however. Grenache Restaurant owned by Mike Jennings will always stand behind their employees and Jennings proved this when customers harshly criticized one of his waiters.

Jennings was absolutely disgusted when he heard what patrons at his restaurant were telling one of his waiters, Andy Forster. Andy is a 45-year-old who has autism. Andy balances his new job and caring for his mother who has Alzheimer’s.

Andy was having a tough day when he had some particularly rude customers came in. One customer was especially rude to Andy. They demanded to be served by someone else other than Andy, even after they were told about his disability. They even went as far as to question why they would even hire them.
