Looking for a pet dog? Wait, we have something exciting to tell you.
These days the animal rescue organizations are persuading the public that no to shop dogs rather adopt them.
Most of the dogs we find at streets end up living on streets but once they were part of a family and our little act of kindness can help them give a better living.
People tend to prefer dogs that are healthy and young but the ones with some health issues or old ones are not chosen for adoption.
However, The Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland is making some efforts and convincing the public so that they adopt the retired military dogs who are now retired and cannot continue the training program.
According to the Air force, military dogs have good protection skills and are best when it comes to the protection of the house that is because they have completed training programs with the military.
Along with training, these dogs are the ones who have a strong mental ability and have spent ample time with military members.
The adoption process of these dogs is planned at 341st Training Readiness Squadron with the help of Lackland Air Force Base.
According to the 341st training squadron, these dogs can be adopted by the general public, law enforcement agencies, and handlers but Jerry Britt who is a coordinator at 37th Training MWD disposition informed that the dogs will be given for adoption after checking their interaction with the people along with aggressiveness.
He helped professor Robert Klesges hailing from Tennessee to adopt a German shepherd and it was the professor’s second military working dog.
Professor adopted Fida who is a very smart dog and was a part of a detection training team and a combat tracker and loves to play with kids that’s why he choose Fida.
The adoption process has some processes and is expected to be completed within 2 years.
This process is a bit long because the authorities want each and every family to complete the required process.
As these dogs have served the country by putting their life ay risk so they deserve to be treated well and spend the rest of their lives with a family and forever home.
Now if you are planning to buy a dog you must consider this adoption as it is a great choice and they will get home.
