There are already many water parks in the UK but there is a new one filled with slides and rides: Elysium Water Park.
The $91m (£75m) project is set to become UK’s biggest indoor water park. Artists’ impressions were shared on Facebook and every corner looks impressive.
The park has wave machines, obligatory lazy river, splash pools, rides and large water slides. It also features many other attractions including Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technology, making the waterpark an even more thrilling prospect.
The Elysium Water Park is expected to open in 2023.
“Elysium will be the most extraordinary, luxurious and largest indoor water park in the United Kingdom. Standing alongside other stunning world-class venues across the world, Elysium will look to deliver the ultimate water park paradise and more,” the website reads.
“Featuring a top quality wellness and beauty spa that offers a multitude of facilities including a sauna, hammam spas, massage and beauty treatments, exercise/dance options; we hope Elysium will be a place of tranquillity, peace and freedom.”
The spa area will be for over 18s only. With a capacity of around 4,000 visitors per day, the site will have around 1 million visitors per year.
Visitors can also expect a lagoon area with 5 Waves technology, which makes 5 different surfing wave levels.
Of course, there will also be dining options, eco-lodges and hotels in the area.
Costa Acodrinesei, the man who invented it, said to Bournemouth Echo: “It’s a very big vision but I know we can do it. It will be like something out of Indiana Jones.”
We can’t wait anymore!
