Robert Pattinson To Replace Ben Affleck As Caped Crusader In Upcoming Batman Flick


From a heartthrob vampire to a DC superhero, fans couldn’t contain their excitement upon hearing rumors that Robert Pattinson will replace Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader.

The British actor who played Edward Cullen in the Twilight film series is the next in line to play the DC Comics superhero, taking over Ben Affleck, who last played Batman in 2017’s Justice League.

Matt Reeves is directing the new Batman flick and according to trade publication Variety, he is in talks with Pattinson to play the iconic role.

At the beginning of the year, it was reported that Affleck was out of the project which he was originally tipped to star in, write and direct before leaving the project.

Although negotiations are still ongoing, Pattinson is considered to be the top choice and the deal will close soon. Pre-production is also expected to start this year.

Affleck first appeared as Batman in 2016’s Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. He then played one of the major roles in Justice League 2017 but it has been reported that producers are looking for a ‘younger Batman’ and Pattinson is the most ideal.

The Batman flick is scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
