Robert Trump, President Donald Trump’s younger brother, has been hospitalized in New York.
The White House has confirmed the media reports on Friday when CNN and others asked the question.
As of now, it is unclear as to why the younger Trump has been hospitalized. According to ABC News, several of the sources said that Trump’s health is in critical condition, although this has yet to be confirmed by either Robert or the White House.
Kayleigh McEnany, the White House Press Secretary, simply acknowledged that the younger Trump is in a hospital and that the President has a very good relationship with his younger brother. She also said that the White House will follow up with more information.
It is being reported that Robert Trump was hospitalized in Mount Sinai Hospital, New York for more than a week in June. Some have speculated, without any factual basis as of yet, that the younger Trump may have contracted Covid-19.
White House sources have told ABC News that the President is working out his schedule so that he can go visit his brother sometime today. If this is true, it will likely fuel allegations that the President’s brother is in fact in a serious state.
Robert Trump was featured heavily in the media for spearheading the extended Trump family’s attack on the book “Too Much and Never Enough”. Published by the President’s niece Mary, who is a trained psychiatrist, the book went on to be a best-seller despite the family’s rejections.
As he filed the case against his niece, Robert said that he was very disappointed in Mary. He argued that all the other Trumps, including himself, greatly admire the President as a human and as a member of the family.
Robert is one of the four siblings that the President has. Mary is the son of Fred Trump Jr. Of the siblings, Robert is the relatively well-known one, as he was present in some of the Trump rallies and conventions.
