Actor Kurt Russell and his long-time partner and actress Goldie Hawn received stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during a double Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
The 66-year-old paid an emotional tribute to his partner of 33 years. He said:
“Goldie to you, I owe my wonderful life. Simply put Goldie, I cherish you. And all the stars in the sky or on the boulevard don’t hold a candle to that.”
“There’s no one else I’d rather be next to than Goldie Hawn.”
Goldie joked: “Can we just get married? We’ve never had a celebration like this before! Thank you to my beautiful daughter and my other beautiful daughter. This means more to me as I start reflecting on things… That star is part of ‘yes’… I said yes to Kurt Russell. I said yes to [ex-husband] Bill Hudson, and without Bill I wouldn’t have had Kate and Oliver. I wish my mum and dad could see me.”
The iconic couple was joined by Goldie’s actress daughter, Kate Hudson, Reese Witherspoon, and Quentin Tarantino.
Kate Hudson paid tribute as she said:
“I was slotted in to talk about my mother, but I have two parents and they’re both here,”
“I always thought I’d be talking about them at a wedding or something. But since a wedding doesn’t seem to be in our near future, ever, this may be my only opportunity.”
Reese Witherspoon also paid a touching tribute as she said:
“She just lights up the screen. She’s lit up my life and I just hope one day I can be held in the same regime that I hold her. She’s changed my life.”
