It’s a very rare probability that you’ll be struck by a lightening out of nowhere.
Statistics find that, given that you live in the USA, you have more chances of getting shot by a gunman in the middle of broad daylight than to be killed by lightening. Well, that almost happened to this strapping, young 16-year-old goalkeeper from Russia. And mind you, he was also in broad daylight, without a single cloud above him! The scene was caught on camera by chance which was recording the pre-game when the heavenly fire struck down upon him..
On July 4, Znamya Truda goalkeeper Ivan Zaborovsky was training with his teammates. As he was about to strike the goal back to his friends, the great ball of fire struck upon him. There is no need for a better representation of the biblical “hellfire and brimstone” here, as captured by the said camera:
Club general director Igor Mayorov said: “There was a clear sky, albeit overcast, but neither rain nor wind. If there was a thunderstorm, then we would not have been training.”
Zakborovsky was immediately taken to the emergency room, where he was put into an artificially induced coma, putting him at stabilizing state, while the doctors operated on his medical needs.
The club had proudly claimed from the get-go to the media that he was under no “life-threat.
” “Everyone acted quickly, very professionally, the ambulance arrived in eight minutes,” added Mayorov.“Most likely he had a respiratory arrest, he received first aid, maybe because of this the child is alive.
We transported him from Orekhovo-Zuevo to the hospital in Lyubertsy. They made an ECG, his heart is normal. ” He had claimed that the teenager goalkeeper “continues to be [in a coma], so his brain would rest, get saturated with oxygen.” Mayorov had added that the boy’s “recovery dynamics are positive.
”And his words resonate truer than ever, as the lucky youngster has made a remarkable recovery.
After less than three weeks, Zaborovsky is back on the ball game, running as healthy as ever on the pitch.
As a novice in the Russian third-tier club, says he doesn’t remember the incident and has just a burn on his chest as a result. “It was difficult to breathe, but that’s about it,” he said.
“It’s getting better and better now.
Things are back to normal. ”If you liked this article, please LIKE SHARE AND COMMENT below! And don’t forget to check our other articles along the way!
