Lightening Literally Struck This Russian Goalkeeper – And He Survives

It’s a very rare probability that you’ll be struck by a lightening out of nowhere.

Statistics find that, given that you live in the USA, you have more chances of getting shot by a gunman in the middle of broad daylight than to be killed by lightening. Well, that almost happened to this strapping, young 16-year-old goalkeeper from Russia. And mind you, he was also in broad daylight, without a single cloud above him! The scene was caught on camera by chance which was recording the pre-game when the heavenly fire struck down upon him..

On July 4, Znamya Truda goalkeeper Ivan Zaborovsky was training with his teammates. As he was about to strike the goal back to his friends, the great ball of fire struck upon him. There is no need for a better representation of the biblical “hellfire and brimstone” here, as captured by the said camera:

Club general director Igor Mayorov said: “There was a clear sky, albeit overcast, but neither rain nor wind. If there was a thunderstorm, then we would not have been training.”
Zakborovsky was immediately taken to the emergency room, where he was put into an artificially induced coma, putting him at stabilizing state, while the doctors operated on his medical needs.
