Ryan Reynolds And Blake Lively Donated $2 Million To Human Rights Organizations


Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds donated money to organizations focused on protecting the rights of migrant children.

The couple will make the donation to NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund (LDF) and the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights.

Each organization will get $1 million each.

“We’re blown away by the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and the Young Center’s commitment to not only justice and democracy, but humanity,” Lively, 32, and Reynolds, 42, said in a statement.point 447 |

“Over the last few years, our perspective has grown and we’ve realized we have to do everything possible to foster more compassion and empathy in this world.point 135 | point 138 | 1

“History’s being written right now. We’re grateful to give back to organizations who give voice to so many.”

This is not the first time when Ryan has supported a good cause. He has supported organizations like F–k Cancer and the Michael J. Fox Foundation in the past.

Lively has also a record of being a part of charitable organizations. She has been involved with Chime for Change, a global initiative founded by Beyonce, Salma Hayek and former Gucci creative director Frida Giannini, which raises money toward a charity of choice.

Ryan and Lively have been married for the past seven years and they are one of the most idealistic couples of Hollywood. The couple shares two daughters, 4-year-old James and 2-year-old Inez. Now, they are expecting their third child.

They never miss a chance to show their love for each other and always pull each other’s leg on Twitter. They both think that their friendship being the foundation of their romantic relationship has been important to their marriage.

“I knew he would always be my best friend for my whole life,” Lively said in an interview with Marie Claire. “That was the biggest thing to me. I’d never known anything like the friendship that I had with him. I could like him as much as I loved him.”

During an appearance on “The Late Show With David Letterman, Reynolds said: “I’m just a diaper-changing facility hooked up to a life-support system, but my wife, she’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner,”

“She’s a human Denny’s all day long … and it never ends for her. She’s the most beautiful Denny’s you’ve ever seen though, I guarantee it.”
