The challenge requires a participant to kick the lid off a bottle and film it in slow motion.

People are trying this challenge on social media like crazy, and sharing their videos while doing the stunt.

The #bottlecapchallenge has been doing the rounds when Ryan Reynolds give a try to it and failing spectacularly. Everyone’s favorite Ryan Ronald tried this challenge and fans are loving it for another reason.

The short video, posted to the actor’s Twitter account, follows the gin bottle as it travels through a range of different landscapes – watching fireworks, stargazing, and traveling through the city until it reaches its final destination, Reynolds’ camper van.

We were expecting Reynolds will remove the cap like an expert, but the attempt goes horribly wrong and the gin bottle is smashed out of frame by his foot, followed by the sound of shattered glass and the sight of the actor quickly running out of the door.

His video viewed half a million times in just five days. He then challenged his friend John Mayer, the famous musician.

He too smashed it, challenging Jason Statham, with loads of other celebrities joining in.

Conor McGregor also did the challenge to promote his drinks brand Proper Whiskey – clever. 

Twitter exploded in a frenzy in response to the challenge. 

Some fans praised the actor for not damaging his camera.

Donnie Yen completed the challenge blindfolded and with more finesse than anyone who came before him.

Fans said, sorry Ryan, you might have won for comical value but I think we can all see Donnie’s the true winner here.
