Ryan Reynolds has spoken out and revealed that much-anticipated Deadpool 3 is currently in the making saying “we’re working on it right now with the whole team.
”
“We’re over at Marvel now, which is like the big leagues all of a sudden. It’s kinda crazy. So yeah, we’re working on it,” the 43-year-old actor and comedian shared.
The Wade Wilson actor spilled the good news during his appearance on ‘Live With Kelly and Ryan’ on Christmas Eve.
Just a few months prior to Ryan’s confirmation, the movie’s co-writer announced that “there’s a lot to be sorted out” and that they were waiting for the green light from Marvel Studios.
“We’re just waiting for the word from on high. There’s a lot to be sorted out, like how Deadpool fits into the Marvel Universe with the other characters of the MCU,” Paul Wernick said in an interview with Den of Geek.
“Then it’s, do the X-Men get in there at some point? Fantastic Four? There’s a lot to be sorted out and I think we’re all getting a much needed rest from Deadpool – Ryan and us and everybody.”
While Wernick couldn’t speak about the specifics at that time, he assured the fans that Deadpool will remain R-rated just like they like it.
“We’re always in touch with Ryan. I think the party line and truth is we’re all still figuring it out. Marvel has promised to continue to let us play in the R-rated Deadpool universe, and the hope is that they will also let us veer into the MCU a little bit as well and play in that sandbox,” he revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“I think once we collectively agree what idea that great idea is, we’ll be off to the races. Ryan’s super-busy, we’ve got a lot of projects lined up, but we wake up thinking about Deadpool, and we go to sleep thinking about Deadpool,” he added.
