If you’ve ever lost your pet, you know how terrifying it can be to frantically search for them.
For Edward and Kristin, it was much, much scarier. They lost their beloved dog, Rylee, while boating almost 6 miles from shore!

The three of them went to Michigan for a vacation on a boat. After a while their boat began to have electrical problems.
That’s when it happened. Edward was in the cabin attempting to figure out what was wrong as Kristin was on seeing if she could see any problems. Both thought their 10-month-old Belgian Malinois, Rylee, was with the other.
When the two saw each other they realized that Rylee wasn’t with either. They began to search the boat.
After they searched the entire boat they called mayday and quickly explained that their dog went overboard!
The couple and hundreds of other boaters kept an eye out for the dog, but after several hours and no luck, they were getting desperate.
That’s when Lynn Fiedor heard about the situation and used her Facebook page, the Lost Dog Search Team to help. The Lost Dog Search Team is a group which uses social media to help spread awareness of missing dogs in Michigan.

The post caught the attention of over 20,000 people as everyone began to look for Rylee.
Thankfully the search was a success when campers spotted a dog near the campground. Edward and Kristin rushed to the campground to see if it was their dog and the three had a heartwarming reunion.
Incredibly, Rylee swam six miles and then walked another twelve miles before she ended up reuniting with her family. That is the loyalty of man’s best friend.
Rylee is truly an amazing dog for doing what basically amounts to a marathon just to find her beloved family again. What do you think of this amazing story? Be sure to tell us below!
