In yet another bombshell interview, Samantha Markle lashed out at her half-sister, Meghan, and accused her of treating people badly.
Following the explosive CBS interview with Oprah, in which Meghan accused the monarchy of racism and claimed she was left helpless and suicidal during her first pregnancy, Samantha Markle slammed her half-sister and accused her of treating people like dishrags.
As the 56-year-old actress told Inside Edition, she has no sympathy for Meghan whereas she believes that her half-sister is using depression to push her agenda.
“Depression is not an excuse for treating people like dishrags and disposing of them,” she said.
Samantha also blasted Meghan for claiming that her half-sister only changed her last name to Markle after she had met Harry.
“I was a Markle before she was. I thought that was kind of weird that she would say I only changed my name back when she met Harry. Markle has always been my name,” Samantha insisted.
The 56-year-old backed up her claims by showing her petition for a name change that dates back to 1997. Samantha also showed Inside Edition her college diploma which proves her name was Samantha M Markle long before Meghan met Harry.
Samantha also lashed out at Meghan for claiming that she was raised as an only child as she shared a series of childhood photos in which Meghan and Samantha are seen side-by-side.
Though Meghan’s focus during the interview with Oprah was set at the Royal Family, the Duchess of Sussex commented on her relationship with her family in unaired sections of the interview as she insisted she doesn’t know Samantha.
“I don’t feel comfortable talking about people that I really don’t know. But I grew up as an only child, which everybody who grew up around me knows,” Meghan responded when probed about Samantha’s book about her.
While the Duchess insisted she hasn’t seen her half-sister in at least 18 years, Samantha refuted this claim by showing a photo that shows the pair at her graduation back in 2008.
